MLB ALL-STAR VOTING RESULTS 2024: FULL LIST OF STARTERS REVEALED FOR AL, NL TEAM ROSTERS

After weeks of speculation, the Midsummer Classic finally has unveiled its cast of characters — or at least its starters.

The 2024 MLB All-Star Game figures to be one of the most exciting contests in recent memory. And if the starting lineups for the American League and National League are any indication, it could offer a window into the future greats of the sport.

Aaron Judge and Bryce Harper were already confirmed to be included in their conference's respective starting lineup, having finished at the top of the charts after the first phase of All-Star voting. They were joined by another 16 standouts Wednesday, including highly-touted youngsters Gunnar Henderson, Adley Rutschman and Steven Kwan.

All-Star selections came from a variety of different backgrounds. Some, like Henderson, Rutschman and Jurickson Profar, were tipped for greatness as prospects. Others, like Juan Soto and Jose Altuve, raced up the minor leagues after unsuspecting amateur careers.

Regardless of their past, these players represent the best talents baseball has to offer. Expect them to set off fireworks at Globe Life Park, home of the Rangers.

The Sporting News tracked the live announcement of the MLB All-Star Game starters. Follow below to see the roster as it was released.

Who were the All-Star Game starter finalists?

Fan voting for this year's All-Star Game was conducted in two phases. The player who garnered the most votes in each league during Phase 1 — Judge and Harper — automatically earned enshrinement into their respective league's starting lineup.

For all other positions, the top vote-getters in Phase 1 advanced to a final round of voting in Phase 2. In the infield, there were two finalists for each position. In the outfield, there were six total (four in the American League, as Judge claimed an outfield spot). The top vote-getters were pitted against each other in a run-off.

Here were the finalists at each position as voted by the fans. The top vote-getters in each league from Phase 1 are in bold.

The pitchers and reserves will be announced at 5:30 p.m. ET Sunday, July 7.
