PHOTO: OLIVIA DUNNE, PAUL SKENES HAVE ARRIVED IN PITTSBURGH

Olivia Dunne and Paul Skenes have officially arrived in Pittsburgh. The No. 1 pick from last year's draft will make his MLB debut for the Pirates this Saturday against the Cubs.

Dunne revealed on TikTok that she was napping when the Pirates made the decision to call up Skenes. They actually both woke up to that awesome news.

"POV: you both wake up from a nap and find out he’s in the MLB," Dunne wrote for her TikTok caption.

On Thursday afternoon, Dunne posted a photo of her and Skenes traveling to Pittsburgh. Her caption was pretty straightforward: "helloooo Pittsburgh."

The official X account for the MLB reposted this photo just moments ago.

Skenes was really impressive in Triple-A, giving up only three runs in just over 27 innings. It's also worth noting that he struck out 45 batters.

"He’s got a real drive — and I’ve said this before — but he’s not just waiting for challenges," Pirates general manager Ben Cherington said when asked about Skenes. "He’s pursuing the challenge, and he wants the thing to be hard so he can get better. That’s a pretty good trait

The Pirates are hoping Skenes can live up to the hype this weekend.
