CAITLIN CLARK STRUGGLING IN INDIANA FEVER HOME DEBUT

You've likely never heard this story before: Caitlin Clark is struggling from long range - and pretty much everywhere else.

On Thursday night the former Iowa Hawkeyes star made her home debut in front of a packed house of Indiana Fever fans. Unfortunately for the No. 1 overall pick, she's not having the best of shooting nights.

Through three quarters of action, Clark made 4-of-12 shots from the field including just 2-of-9 from beyond the arc. She's also turned the ball over five times.

Fans are used to seeing Clark shoot the lights out so they were a bit surprised to see her struggles.

"I’m all for Caitlin Clark shooting the three but she also needs to get it he mid range …and get the three off passing and relocating ….the just chucking up threes and hunting offense isn’t needed for this fever team to thrive .. this isn’t Iowa," one fan pointed out.

"Tough shooting first half from 3 for Caitlin Clark in this second preseason game for her (1 for 5). But no major amount of wild turnovers from her in a positive note. However, do some of you Crazy Caitlin Consumers think Diana Taurasi is still hating though?" offered another.

The good news for Clark is that she's still contributing in other areas. She's already grabbed eight rebounds and has six assists on the night.
