JAYSON TATUM WARNS NBA TEAMS ABOUT PASSING ON DUKE STAR

There were a lot of players who were surprisingly passed over in the first round of the NBA Draft last night. But for Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum, the snub of an alum of his beloved alma mater Duke had him almost outraged.

Taking to X last night, Tatum reposted NBA analyst Kevin O'Connor's list of top prospects remaining in the NBA Draft. That list included Duke star Kyle Filipowski, and Tatum was not at all pleased at that sight. He wrote this warning in response:

"Lot of teams gone regret passing up on Flip," Tatum declared.

The 7-foot All-American is coming off two solid years with the Blue Devils. This past year was his best as he averaged 16.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while starting 36 games for Duke.

For his efforts, Filipowski earned First-Team All-ACC and consensus Second-Team All-American honors.

But despite a strong season it was not enough to earn him a selection in the first round of the NBA Draft. Perhaps another team will take a flyer on him in the second round and give him a chance to develop his skills in the G-League for a bit.

Will Kyle Filipowski wind up on an NBA roster?
