LEBRON, KEVIN DURANT NAMED ALL-TIME HEAD COACH KILLERS

Frank Vogel was let go by the Phoenix Suns today after one season, meaning that in a little over two calendar years, he's now been fired from coaching LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

James and Durant have certainly done a lot of winning throughout their illustrious careers, but their presence has not always been good for the long-term future of their head coaches.

After the Vogel news broke Thursday, Bill Simmons tallied up how many coaches LeBron and KD have gone through in the last six years.

"LeBron and KD have had 10 coaches combined since Game 1 of the 2018 Finals… and that number is about to jump to 12," Simmons noted.

Overall, James has had nine coaches in his career, dating back to 2003, while Durant has had eight since entering the league in 2007, said Miami Heat content creator John Jablonka.

Jablonka also did not include Kenny Atkinson, who was let go by the Brooklyn Nets during Durant's first season with the team while the star forward was rehabbing an Achilles injury.

LeBron and Durant's status as "coach killers" has been discussed and debated this afternoon on social media.

"When are people gonna realize KD is the coach killer that people think Bron is?" one Lakers fan asked.

"Coach Killer strikes again!" another person said.

"Who is the bigger coach killer, Kevin Durant or LeBron James?" another account asked.

"LeBron a coach killer but 2/3 coaches he's had as a laker has been fired since being fired by the Lakers and frank fired twice before being a Laker lol," said another commenter.

The Suns went 49-33 during the regular season before being swept by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the first round of the playoffs.
