THE LOS ANGELES LAKERS HAVE DRAFTED BRONNY JAMES

Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers legend LeBron James, has finally been drafted.

After waiting all Tuesday night without hearing his name called, Bronny can lay his head down on his pillow tonight knowing he was selected in the 2024 NBA Draft.

So where is he going? To the Lakers, of course.

On Thursday afternoon NBA insider Shams Charania broke the news that Bronny will play alongside his father.

"The Los Angeles Lakers are selecting Bronny James with the No. 55 pick in the 2024 NBA draft, sources say. LeBron and Bronny James to become the first ever father-son duo to be in the NBA at the same time," Shams reported.

The decision to select Bronny comes as no surprise for the Lakers, who essentially broadcast their plans for weeks.

"It's seen as likely by sources who represent opposing teams across the league that the Lakers will select Bronny James in the second round of the 2024 NBA draft," The Athletic's Sam Vecenie reported earlier today.

ESPN's Tim Legler suggested the Boston Celtics should have taken Bronny "for ransom."

“You all know that [the Lakers] picked 55th,” Legler said on First Take on Thursday. “You know who picks 54th? Boston. So, I like movies. I like true crime, stuff like that. I’m just saying: 54th pick we renew the ‘Cold War’ between the Celtics and the Lakers. The Boston Celtics take Bronny James and they send a ransom note to the Lakers [saying], ‘We have your son. We have your son. If you want him back, it’s gonna take Austin Reaves.”

Boston clearly didn't feel like playing games.

In the end, it was always mean to be for Bronny in Los Angeles.
