REPORT: RAMS, TEXANS AGREE TO WIDE RECEIVER TRADE

It turns out the Los Angeles Rams will not place wide receiver Ben Skowronek on waivers. Instead, they're trading him to the AFC South.

According to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the Houston Texans are acquiring Skowronek. In order to make this deal happen, the two teams will swap 2026 sixth-and-seventh-round picks

Skowronek, a former seventh-round pick from Notre Dame, joined the Rams in 2021. He showed some promise in his second season, hauling in 39 passes for 376 yards.

Last season, Skowronek's role on offense drastically diminished. Despite appearing in all 17 games, he only had eight receptions for 66 yards and a touchdown.

Perhaps a change of scenery will help Skowronek reach his full potential. That being said, he's joining a crowded wide receiver room in Houston.

The Texans have an elite trio of wide receivers in Nico Collins, Stefon Diggs and Tank Dell. They also have depth behind them with Robert Woods, Noah Brown and John Metchie III.

If Skowronek wants to make the 53-man roster in Houston, he'll need to have a strong showing at training camp.

As for the Rams, they seem content with their personnel on offense. That makes sense considering they have Cooper Kupp, Puka Nacua, Demarcus Robinson and Tutu Atwell.
