ESPN ANALYST, FORMER NHL STAR P.K. SUBBAN HAD EARPIECE STUCK IN HIS EAR FOR 8 DAYS

Former NHL defenseman P.K. Subban had to get part of an earpiece taken out of his ear recently.

The ESPN NHL analyst had to see a doctor to get part of his earpiece from Game 7 of the Stanley Cup Final taken out after it had been stuck in there. It had been in his ear for over a week (eight days).

The doctor confirmed to Subban that it was very deep in his ear, just against the eardrum. Subban's ear had been hurting for the last week and had no idea what was causing it.

Subban called it the "most excruciating pain."

Subban was helping ESPN cover the Stanley Cup Playoffs for two months, including the Stanley Cup Final. He was in Sunrise, Florida to see the Panthers win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history after defeating the Edmonton Oilers in seven games.

He's been an analyst for the last couple of years after announcing his retirement from the NHL in September 2022. He played in the NHL for 13 seasons, seven of which came with the Montreal Canadiens.

Subban will be part of ESPN's coverage again for the 2024-25 season, which kicks off in October.
