ALABAMA BEATS OUT OHIO STATE FOR NO. 4 EDGE RECRUIT IN COUNTRY

Alabama landed a big-time recruit for its 2025 recruiting class on Wednesday.

Kalen DeBoer and the Alabama football program were able to land four-star edge rusher Justin Hill.

The Crimson Tide were able to steal him out of Cincinnati, Ohio, which is Buckeye territory. By all accounts, Ohio State had made Hill a priority in its 2025 class.

Hill is the fourth-best player in his home state (Ohio) and the fourth-best edge rushing recruit in the country, per 247Sports composite rankings. He's also the No. 58 overall prospect, regardless of position.

The rich continue to get richer as the Crimson Tide have the No. 2 recruiting class for 2025, per 247Sports. DeBoer has done a great job of coming in and recruiting after Nick Saban retired at the end of the 2023 season.

The Crimson Tide have two five-star recruits and 16 four-star recruits for this class. They're replenishing their depth and will continue to be great as long as they keep recruiting like this.

This will be DeBoer's first season as Alabama's head coach after taking over for Saban. He recently led the Washington Huskies to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game before losing to the Michigan Wolverines.

DeBoer's first game as the Crimson Tide's head coach will be on August 31 against Western Kentucky.
