DEION SANDERS ACCUSED OF 'CLASSLESS' BEHAVIOR THIS OFFSEASON

Expectations are rising for Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes football program this fall.

Colorado is ranked inside of the Top 25 in EA Sports' preseason rankings for the 2024 season. The Buffaloes check in at No. 16. The Big 12 preseason poll, meanwhile, is not nearly as high on Coach Prime's team.

It's been an interesting offseason for Deion Sanders, to say the least. Dozens of players transferred out of Colorado's program, with the head coach being accused of "classless" behavior.

"He was destroying guys’ confidence and belief in themselves," former Colorado safety Xavier Smith told The Athletic. "The way he did it, it could’ve been done with a little more compassion."

Sanders went on to call the player out on social media.

College football fans, though, think that Deion Sanders went too far with his response.

"It's just sad and very telling about who Deion and his sons are that they are trashing their own former players and teammates on social media. I guess you could expect that from Shilo/Shedeur but from Deion?? It's just classless," one said.

"Never seen a more classless and undisciplined team in my life. Deion and Colorado are single handedly destroying college football and it’s sad to see," one added.

"Deion attacking a kid he humiliated who wanted to play for him is truly so classless. Colorado is a circus and every school should be thanking God they didn’t hire him. He’s a head coach of a Power 5 team behaving like a dumb college kid himself," another fan said.

Colorado is scheduled to open the 2024 season on Aug. 29 against ND State.
